“Metabolic Warfare: Targeting Tumor Fuel Lines with Natural Blockers”
When the battle becomes personal.
On our journey to beating cancer, we discussed Phase I (The Trust Factor) between all parties: God, the patient, and the physician.
We also discussed Phase II (Your mind is a medicine). “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 KJV
Phase 3: Immune Terrain & Fibrotic Modulation
Like that initiation into darkness where Sonny fell into a hole filled with stench, I jumped in to help him. As we washed down into the river, the two boys' terrain was soiled physically, emotionally, and at the cellular level. The filth was so thick that it felt like a second skin; this is the fibrotic formation of the cell.
If no correction is made, the terrain may become muddier, and the fibrotic changes can develop into deep scars. The timing of cleanup is also critical. You would want to do it quickly to avoid falling deeper into the darkness.
“The horror…the horror”
Chapter: Brotherhood of Survival
Sonny and I endured horrors in those camps that remain too dark to speak of fully. But one memory seared into my soul. During chow time, when the Malaysian Military Police were in charge, they split us into two lines: food and water. We ended up in the wrong one.
One of the MPs didn’t speak a word. He just started beating Sonny with a baton. I can still see it. Without thinking, I threw myself over my brother like a shield. God made me small and fast. I folded over Sonny in a turtle position, trying to absorb every blow. As the strikes rained down on my back, I twisted and squirmed, instinctively looking for an opening.
That’s when I saw his foot. He was wearing sandals. In a flash, I lunged and sank my teeth into the soft spot of his Achilles tendon, where the calf muscle anchors to the heel. It’s the strongest tendon in the human body, but also the most vulnerable. I bit down with everything I had, not out of fear, but out of rage and love, as I wasn’t going to let him hurt my little brother.
Each time he hit me, I bit harder. I could feel the give of skin, ligaments, and tendons. The battle between his baton and my jaw lasted maybe four or five minutes, but it felt eternal. Finally, the blows stopped. I didn’t understand why at first. Then I saw him limping away.
My mouth was full of blood, flesh, and stringy tendons. I spit it all at his feet, a silent statement from an eight-year-old boy: I will not be broken. I will not let you harm my brother. And he knew it. I saw it in his eyes.
No one came to help us. Sonny was stunned and frozen. But I remained alert. I walked him to a nearby well, checked him for injuries, and rinsed the blood and filth from my mouth. I didn’t cry. I didn’t collapse. Something deeper had taken over, something ancient, holy, and fierce.
Chapter: Physician, Heal Thyself
The timing of cleaning the terrain to prevent fibrosis and scarring in cancer should be initiated within about three weeks. In a human being, that healing process can stretch across years, and without guidance, it may never truly be completed. I was blessed. My mentor, through gentle yet profound storytelling, helped me connect the dots I didn’t even know I was missing. He was kind but firm, and his mantra still echoes in my mind: “Physician, heal thyself.”
That baton of healing was passed to me more than once.
During my time at Johns Hopkins in the 1990s, I met Dr. Ben Carson. Back then, he was already a household name, someone we all admired from a distance, primarily through Grand Rounds. But God’s timing is perfect. In 2016, during Dr. Carson’s presidential campaign, I joined Carson America. Rather than traveling with him, which might have meant closing my medical office for over a year, he gave me a role managing his Facebook platform.
Every time he flew to California for fundraising, I received a message asking where to meet. That’s when I truly got to understand the man. Though our stories differed in detail, our childhoods mirrored each other in spirit, marked by struggle, anger, and a fight to survive.
One day, he asked me about my past and shared his rage-filled battles. He advised me with simple yet profound words: “Give it to God.” At the time, I didn’t fully grasp what he meant. But I carried those words with me.
That little 8-year-old boy inside me—full of fire, fists, and a readiness to protect—was never far away. I’d gotten into countless fights growing up, and one day I asked my father to enroll me in a martial arts school. He took me to a dojo modeled after Bruce Lee’s philosophy: a hybrid of Wing Chun, Boxing, Judo, and Tai Chi. It was the beginning of learning how to direct my energy, not suppress it, but refine it.
Healing, like fighting, is both an art and a science. Sometimes, it begins by standing up, not just for others but also for yourself.
Cleaning the terrain, Phase III in the journey of beating cancer.
If you dive deep to the cellular level and examine stem cells that have transformed into cancer, their appearance is nothing like that of healthy adult mesenchymal stem cells. They look distorted and angry. The morphology is abnormal, and the harmony of the cell is disrupted.
Inside, these cells are profoundly acidic. That ancient metabolic pathway, glycolysis, is fully activated, and the final byproduct, lactate, builds up aggressively. This acidic environment reflects the Warburg Effect in full swing.
The mitochondria, once beautifully structured with well-defined cristae (inner folds), are now swollen, fragmented, and dysfunctional. The outer membrane becomes porous, leaking reactive oxygen species (ROS) like a smoldering fire slowly tearing through the house. But here’s the paradox—just as the house burns, an intelligent force has hijacked the sprinklers: it’s turned on the Pentose Phosphate Pathway (PPP). Not to put out the flames, but to keep the house alive enough to spread the damage.
PPP activation serves two key purposes: It produces ribose sugars for nucleotide synthesis, fueling rapid cancer cell division. It generates NADPH, which helps create glutathione, a powerful antioxidant that tempers oxidative stress just enough to prevent complete cellular collapse.
Meanwhile, critical tumor suppressor genes, the brakes of the system, have been hijacked or silenced:
p53: The master regulator of apoptosis and guardian of the genome, normally inhibits G6PD (the gateway enzyme of the PPP). When p53 is silenced, the PPP pathway runs unchecked.
• PTEN: Suppresses the PI3K/AKT growth signaling pathway. Its loss amplifies glycolysis, promotes survival, and signals proliferation.
• LKB1 (STK11): Activates AMPK, a key metabolic checkpoint that restrains mTOR and encourages energy conservation. Loss of LKB1 removes this critical metabolic restraint.
• RB (Retinoblastoma protein): Regulates cell cycle entry. Once disabled, cells divide recklessly.
Cancer is not just uncontrolled growth. It is a breakdown in the chain of command. The cellular architecture is corrupted, the mitochondria are crippled, metabolic intelligence has been hijacked, and the very software that tells a cell when to live or die has been overwritten. This is not normal evolution—it’s cellular rebellion.
Healing Begins in Phases:
When Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong spoke with Tucker Carlson about cancer, he described using chemotherapy to “smoke out” cancer cells, followed by introducing a “vaccine” at the DNA level to kill them. But then he stopped. He never explained what exactly is in that “vaccine.”
From what I can surmise, it likely involves CRISPR or similar gene-editing technologies designed to reactivate tumor suppressor genes, like p53, PTEN, or LKB1, that cancer has silenced. And considering Soon-Shiong’s history, it’s not a stretch to imagine he’s collaborating with Larry Ellison to build genomic surveillance systems that track and manipulate our genetic code.
But let’s not be naïve. This narrative is a smokescreen.
Did we learn nothing from the mRNA debacle? First, they introduce an experimental jab under the guise of public health, one now being investigated for its role in turbocharging oncogenic pathways. Now, conveniently, they show up with a supposed genetic “cure.” This isn’t medicine. It’s a business model: create the disease, then sell the cure.
Dr. Thomas Seyfried would have a cow.
He’s made it clear: cancer is not a genetic disease, it’s a metabolic one. You don’t need a CRISPR scalpel to “fix” cancer. You need to correct the cell’s energy metabolism and restore mitochondrial integrity. But Big Pharma can’t patent metabolic healing; they can only profit off genetic manipulation. If anyone still believes in that kind of bait-and-switch biotech salvation, I’ve got a lovely bridge in Brooklyn, and I’d be happy to sell it to you.
Terrain Reset & Alkalinization (Weeks 1-3)
Phase III begins with clearing up the terrain. You must clean up the terrain before you start healing yourself.
Baking soda buffers acidity (target urine pH 7.3-7.4). I recommend that my patients buy these urine pH strips and check their urine pH at home 3-4 times a week. Titrate baking soda to reach an alkalinity status.
Modified Citrus Pectin blocks Galectin-3 to stop cancer cells from communicating with each other
Initiate TAl (Thymosin Alpha-1): 2- 3x/week - immune terrain prep. The “Take out the Trash” peptide
Begin BPC-157, the “Wolverine peptide.”
Shut down its first nutrient, Glucose, by getting into a ketogenic diet and aiming for a GKI of <1.
Control and balance the sympathetic overdrive by calculating the Granulocytes to Lymphocytes ratio (GLR) by listening to classical and Bible music. Read Proverbs and start visualizing healthy cells. (Remember the water experiment)
Shut down the enzyme LDH, the last step in Glycolysis that makes Lactic acid intracellularly.
Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG)-Mechanism: Downregulates LDH expression; interferes with glycolytic flux. Dose Range: 400–800 mg/day in cancer models
Quercetin-Mechanism: synergistic with EGCG and bromelain; inhibits PI3K/AKT, LDH, and GLUT1. Dose: 500–1000 mg BID
Resveratrol (Trans-Resveratrol)-Mechanism: It activates SIRT1, suppresses HIF-1α, LDH, and VEGF, supports mitochondrial biogenesis, enhances p53 activity, and reduces cancer stemness. Dose: 500–1000 mg/day.Form: Biotivia Transmax is one of the most validated forms.
Berberine-Mechanism: Activates AMPK, downregulates GLUT1, LDH, and inhibits aerobic glycolysis. It also lowers insulin and glucose, and helps reduce GKI. Dose: 500 mg TID before meals
Check h-CRP and lower it to <1. h-CRP is an inflammatory marker outside the cell, the terrain. Vitamin D (level 70-80), Liposomal Vitamin C, and Niacin 500mg B.I.D will lower h-CRP
Check baseline GKI, Galectin-3, GLR, LDH, CRP, and repeat in 3-4 weeks.
With clinical intent and therapeutic dosing, these agents form the metabolic backbone of an integrative cancer protocol—starving the tumor, reawakening immune surveillance, and tipping the redox scale toward apoptosis.
*Disclaimer: I am not a physician to anyone on social media. I write to learn for myself and my patients.
They will always create diseases and will never cure anyone. I will never trust our healthcare system! Never! They kill so many people and get away with it everyday in this country. Even the Evil Dr Fauci still walks free
Thank you Dr. Phan for your writings . My father died from pancreatic cancer, 9 months total . I now have a deeper understanding of metabolic warfare . Also , God never left you , your faith is powerful . Deuteronomy 31:6
